Quality Time And Online Job
My family Christmas celebration is often celebrated in the traditional Filipino way. Well, I assume you read so much about the customary Filipino Christmas celebration. It start as early as September and ends January 6. In case you're not so familiar about it, you better read my previous hub (grin). I usually start looking out for the best and the most affordable gifts for my loved ones during the first week of December but I start saving money as early as the second quarter of the year (its effective).
During the second week of December I bring my whole family to the mall to shop for their new clothes and shoes. Buying clothes and shoes for the Christmas season is a natural thing and seems like a natural phenomenon to Filipinos (I can vouch for that). You can normally see families flocking to the malls during the Holiday season particularly during Christmas season. I am so thankful that I am not working in an office or running a local business that needs my constant presence. All of my friends are complaining of the right time for them to shop and hop around for the holiday while I can freely do my own thing and attend to my kids need. I am a proud freelance provider! In other words I have a legitimate online job that gives me the privilege to enjoy working from the comfort of my home or even during travel.
My Legitimate Online Job
My home-based job fostered me a decent amount of time to spend with my family during special occasions such as Christmas and soon new Year's eve. Not to mention, I prepared and cooked all the foods during our Noche Buena or the dinner at 12 midnight. The picture above was taken when me and my family shops for gifts and we had a great time relaxing and enjoying quality time in the mall. Christmas Shopping in the Philippines is very enjoyable and one of the craziest experiences you will love to go through over and over again.
You can compare it to going through the Amazon jungle relying much to your instincts while being chased by a wild beast. Did you get what I mean? It's not an exaggeration but it is that fierce actually. Holiday season in the Philippines is a total test of your patience (trust me), the traffic is horribly pleasant. Getting to the shopping malls awaits a bigger challenge to your endurance, stamina, awareness in connection to the foot traffic. Shopping early is the only antidote!
Bringing Along My Kids In The Grocery
Undoubtedly, Christmas the "holiday" in the Philippines. It’s so huge that Filipinos really go out of their way and take our time to prepare for this yearly occasion. You can see, I even brought along with me my younger kids while doing my grocery. The need to store the needed ingredients for the Noche Buena and the New Year celebration is so compelling. bringing along my kids is like showing them their Mom's technique on how to shop practically and engendering to them the simple joy that lasts a lifetime.
Online jobs topped the single-parents choice and full-time moms who love to stay committed to their daily family chores and at the same time earn a living in the comfort of their home and that includes me. Having a home-based career fostered me this precious opportunity to stay connected with my five wonderful kids and bestowed me a wonderful holiday celebration with my family.
